as one to travel upward.

Thoughts of emerging from invisible to visible.

Vibrantly awakened, dazed yet not confused.

A journey continued from days long passed.

Searching to find what was once mine,

in hopes to be the betrothed once more.

Protected! Encased in love.

Ready for what may come.

The village, my family.

As one we live, we learn, we give.

Art, history, and tradition

passed on from day to week,

from week to month and month to year.

A tribe unified in beauty and heritage

extending the torch from young to old,

in hopes that this story will continue to be told.

The fight and happiness of red and yellow

Exudes danger and caution

Together form a joyous union of harmonization.

War and Peace meld together unleashing

Balance, warmth, determination, and Freedom.

No red blood or yellow joy,

Just orange sunshine stimulating fun.

Fire and Passion, Stallion and Mare

A glorious union.

Partaking in the lusciousness of sweet pears

Paired with the beauty presented by

An ivy vine escaping the depths of an

Empty barista bottle that holds no life

Green; captivating life, energy, and renewal.

Day in and day out

I struggle to make one more.

To be rescued by weeks’ end.

Were you discovered by someone?

Paper cranes set free.  A short distance away,

Freedom falls from the sky.

A cry for help encased in twisted paper.

Who shall stumble upon these words to rescue me.

You do not go unnoticed, we see you and are lying in wait.

Our cunning and stealth will catch you unexpected.

Viking strong and sly as a fox, no one shall enter our domain.

Be careful of the steps you take in case you take a tumble,

And wind up in the hands of these two scoundrels.

We are fierce and with the strength of Thor’s hammer

We are on guard to handle what may come.

Dimly Lit but Shining Bright

Hiking blindly along life’s treacherous paths,

digging and sifting through fog,

Seeking knowledge and guidance to get

Through this maze called life. 

Minimal light to lead the way, but trudging

Along with hast to find my place amongst

Those who’ve found their shining light.

Knowing that eventually my light will shine bright!
